OUR MISSION IS TO PASS ON THE LOVE OF MUSIC TO YOU.

OUR STORY

Our story is one of heart and family. After the death of his mother, Gregory Charles was looking for a way to immortalize her unique way of teaching music.

In 2017, he paid her the most beautiful tribute by creating the Gregory Academy. An online academy dedicated to teaching music, allowing Gregory to share with the public the pleasure of playing an instrument, thanks to the intuitive and original method of his first piano teacher: his mother.

GREGORY’S MOTHER USED TO SAY THAT YOU NEED THREE THINGS TO SUCCESSFULLY LEARNING MUSIC:

LISTENING

Understanding the music

PRACTICING

10 minutes a day

SHARING

Playing with and for others

OUR TEACHING METHOD

With our proven and enjoyable method, learning to play the piano or guitar is easy and accessible to all ages. Our teaching method, called the Gregory Piano System (G.P.S.), is based primarily on instinct and includes motivating and interactive follow-ups.

Nobody learns to speak and read in one day. That’s why our method starts by teaching the “language” of music, i.e. learning to listen, to locate the notes that make up a chord, and then to assemble the chords into melodic lines as you would put words together to make a sentence and express your thoughts. Once you’ve understood the location of the notes of a chord in a key, you’ll be able to transpose your knowledge to all keys. That means you can start our online piano lessons or guitar lessons even if you can’t read music. Your desire to learn and your ears will be enough to guide you through.

OUR TEACHER, GREGORY CHARLES
